These spurs feature a 5° shank offset.  Some bareback riders who have a hard time keeping their toes turned out may prefer using the 15° shank offset (see CLG Bull Riding Spurs).  All spurs have 1" bands with smooth spur strap and tie-down buttons solidly welded in correct shank position.  

Lyle Sankey, NFR Bareback Rider, Saddle Bronc Rider, and Bull Rider, and a few friends were discussing the clean functional shape of the CLG Bronc spur when one of them asked,    "Why doesn't somebody make this spur in a BB rider's length?"   Several practical reasons were suggested as to why this was a great idea; so here it is, a clean profile, correct length that sure will work for many BB riders. 

1. It is easier to hold your feet in the neck on the spur out. 
2. It helps prevent your feet from 'bouncing' when you set them.

Used by roughstock riders to secure their spurs, CLG tie-down straps are 3/8" wide and 24" long with buckles.

You've seen them once in a while ... one of those ideas that actually works as well as it looks like it should.  Slide these onto any leather or nylon spur strap, position on your instep, and tighten the spur strap to your preference.  FITS right - FEELS good - LOOKS great.
