If you're familiar with the older
Justin
Brand Lacers, you understand the value that handcrafted
boots can provide. If they are to be new to you, you have
to try working in them to really understand how truly great they feel.
Your friends bought these Justin lace-up
ropers because they held up well. Now rodeo cowboys
who are grandkids of the original rodeo stars who
wore these lacer boots in rough stock events are
asking for them again.
Justin has discontinued the boots
for a couple reasons: Shortages of labor, the skills
needed to make them right. And the time involved. As
Justin management told me, they can make a lot of
boots in the time they handcraft one pair of
these.
The boots are cut generously in size. They allow
comfortable room for your arches. Until they
break-in, they will slip on your heels.
Although a "cowboy
boot" is one of the first things you look for,
when dressing for cowboy events, people that wear Western dress
boots do not always wear them just to look like cowboys. The
arch support and quality craftsmanship allow us to
go all day without sore feet and aching backs or
legs. Laces allow you to tighten or loosen, as your
feet may actually change sizes during the day. Feet
tend to be more swollen in early morning and late
evening. For feet that do change a lot during your
day, lacer boots are a good answer to your comfort
issues.
Consider this high quality
footwear for your wife and children too. Especially during the growing years, the
bones of your feet will form only as well as you
allow. Lack of arch support, cramming a growing foot
in an outgrown shoe or boot, - either can deform
foot bones permanently. I know they might not wear
these Justin kids boots out fast. Just pass 'em down
to another youngin! Proper foot care when young will pay tremendous
dividends in all their years to come. Cheap made shoes
create all sorts of problems years from now. And
soft bottom tennis shoes, designed for active
sports, were never made to wear all
day.
Although the bottoms of
today's Justin boots are much more comfortable than
25 years ago, they still have proper arch support,
ankle support, toe room, and all the guts that make
a real Justin cowboy boot.

Justin
tried to keep costs down by changing the 545 lacer
to the 555 lacer. It didn't work well. Soon
discontinued. Few people wanted a second pair. (We
all try things that don't work as planned, don't
we!) Ya'll wanted a better boot.
R Watson
Boot Company is now making us their prototypes of
the old 545 (leather sole), 514 (rubber sole), and
522 Black Bullhide leather sole) styled lacer
boots for Cultured Cowboy. All of us are
working hard on pricing that will keep the quality
of the Justin Originals without being $600.00. We
hope these land between $289.99 and $389.99.
First
samples are coming end of April 2022. - We hope You
will call or email us with your size & contact
info, so we can put you on a list, and have enough
of your size made for everyone, ASAP.
Once we
get these three going, we'll try to work on the
basic black and perhaps ladies sizing. Please be
patient with us
