Weaver
has successfully launched their "Smart
Cinch" Western Cinches. This is a typical cinch
with a roller at the side that you tighten your tie
strap. You might not think a little roller would be
so handy, until you give it a try. Perfect for the
older or younger rider who hasn't the
"He-Man" strength to pull tight. I have
the strength, but I have found it gives a good even
pull that the horse seems to like better than the
couple jerks I used to do.
We
often need a spare part, a replacement part, or an
upgrade part. Sometimes you need to switch a size,
or from cutter to roper cinch to make your horse
most comfy. Gee's I have a tack room full of stuff
"just in case". Who wants to ride to town
in yer truck fer something, when you could be riding
that horse?

Stranded
Cinches
Hint:
Just because some girth is called "cutter"
or "roper" does not mean it is only for
those events. The wider center of the roper style
allows pressure to be distributed along a larger
portion of the breastbone area of your horse.
Personally, I like these, but we sell just as many
of the thinner cutter types. I think it's a
"Ford/Chevy" thing.
Always
inspect your girth to make sure there are no
breaking strands, or sticks, thorns, etc. that may
hurt your horse. To tell if your stranded girth
needs replacing soon, untwist the rope a little in a
few places. Girths will always be stained on the
outside. If the inside of the stranding looks dirty
and shows wear, it is time to have a spare ready to
go. Also, if the buckles develop rust or corrosion,
this cuts the stranding, nylon, or anything else
attached.
I
still like mohair type stranded girths. But give me
a mutton withered, slippery horse, I prefer the wide
neoprene really fast! I keep both in my barns. Just in

Cinches
Shock absorbing neoprene
is easy to clean, withstands weather, and moves with
your horse as it works or competes. The neoprene is
detachable for easy cleaning. Weaver provides
a variety of styles in neoprene girths. Each cinch
has a nylon off-billet holder. Note: Very seldom,
but occasionally, a horse might have
"allergic" problems with neoprene. I have
never experienced this, but have had customers call
with "heat rash" type problems in certain
cases. As with all girths, keeping them clean will
solve most problems. Experiment with how tight,
tight should be when pulling in place. Saddle should
not slip as you mount, and still not cut the horse
in half. Always run your hand over any
girth before you cinch it to make sure there are no
thorns, sticks or other problems.

either vertical or horizontal sets of holes.
Pre-punched leathers below reflect either
horizontal or vertical, and are set for
Blevins buckles above. Un-punched sets are
best for double tongue roller buckles, "QuickChange"
brand buckles, or others. (When punching your
holes, this leather is too tough for a
revolving leather punch. Use a straight
punch...usually No 8 or 10 sized. Or, drill it
carefully.) Always match width of your leather
to go with your buckle sets. These Stirrup
leathers are made from the best parts of a
cow. Premium Skirting leather. Paired to
match. Standard length is 5 feet 6 inches.

The most variety
of shapes for almost all equine activities.
Ready for you to cover, or use as is. Bent wood
is carefully steamed from selected 1/2 inch
hickory. Bound with 24 gauge steel for
reinforcement. Varnished when you get it, to
seal out the elements. If wood is not sealed, it
will dry and split. (Tip: Keeping this in mind,
at least once a year, re-varnish, or have it
wrapped in leather or rawhide that you oil
consistently.) (I have used that non-slip stair
tread that glues on stairs, on the feet to give
more grab. I have covered the bottoms in
leather. And yes, re-varnishing periodically
will stop the rust.) Use your imagination and
enjoy! Sold in pairs.

need any stirrup with a 2 1/2 inch neck, (shown
3 inch below) add part No: ITEM # WEA 30-0898
with the stirrup number and a 2 1/2 inch spacer
