CULTURED COWBOY PRESENTS

American Saddle - Used Barrel Saddle

For years & years, American Saddlery has made a "working gal's"
Barrel Racing Saddle.

Used Barrel Saddles
Cultured Cowboy became more familiar with American Saddlery when BigHorn moved into their manufacturing facility, several years back. These are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet!  Quality is consistent. Guts of their saddles are stressed in importance. Fitness for purpose is strong on their list of traits. Some are very impressive, as far as looks go. Some are average as far as looks go. This barrel racer has been made for real use!

We took it as a trade in. Inspected it. - sound! There are some stains on the Roughout jockeys. We have not oiled it yet, but we offer this service, and a good conditioning will make these spots not nearly so noticeable. Other than the spots, This saddle is in great shape. You'll find almost no wear on the stirrup pads. Original owner needed a different seat size. And really wanted a different style of saddle to better fit her riding use.

Rawhide braided horn is in perfect shape. No stretch. Ditto the cantle! And the ties holding rear skirts together.

In price comparisons, we researched 3 other similar saddles - but they were very used, somewhat broken down - all three sold just under $300. We could not find any in this good condition. (let's you know most people who have purchased this saddle are keeping it, because it is so good for the money!  Now you have a choice of one in really good ready to use shape. No repairs needed. No worn out skirts, nor loose girth tie rings.

Although this American Barrel racing saddle is used, This model is still available new, as well. (Pricing Below). Cultured Cowboy will offer you a nice saddle at your "right price".

Here's one of the best economy saddle values in America.  A barrel racing saddle, that happens to be a great pleasure saddle.

Fenders & stirrup leathers allow freedom of movement. Stirrup leather placement is just forward of your seat center. A leg position of a famous & popular gymkhana saddle fit design. Although this is not an endorsed saddle, it's been crafted very similarly to recognized pro specifications.

Shown Light Med Oil, a popular roughout leather fender & Jockey, with suede grain seat for grip during movement.

Made to fit most inseam measurements. It's a timeless handcrafted design.  Built on Quarterhorse bars, to fit 80% of Western horses that barrel race in the pro-rodeo games.

Whether you prefer NBHA, IPRA, PRCA, or local competition, this game saddle will allow close turns and fast times.

If you have a riding school, horseback riding training station, or hack horses, this model is a reasonable alternative choice to more expensive brands. (We do offer multiple saddle discounts on 6 or more assorted models.)

The skirting leather is substantial to support your sport. The entire skirting is tight - No flaws.   The tree is really a slightly flexing better quality tree. Seat padding is designed for saddle comfort. Stirrup leathers are not stretchy. Rawhide trim is scratch resistant and easy to grip. Comes with nylon girth tie straps.  (We can upgrade to leather, or  new nylon)

Would you like to get this saddle, preserved & ready to ride? We'll heavy oil any saddle for you. We prefer to use Lexol Conditioner.  Lexol will darken less than other conditioners.  It's PH-Balanced for the leather used in your saddle. We've been using lanolin based Lexol on our personal saddles for over 40 years. Add $120.00 for applying about three liters of Lexol over some several hours of application on saddles. Lexol is best applied in many thin layers. To darken slightly, and finish the process with a delightful finish, we'll hand rub extra virgin olive oil till that white looking lanolin is forced back into the leather.  The choice is yours! If you choose this option, your saddle will then come out of the box ready to ride in comfort! No sore knees nor ankles! (The sanded areas will become darker as they absorb these natural oils.)
