When
Cultured Cowboy first heard of Cashel, it was with our
English jumping division of our stable. We needed to
adjust a saddle with a wedge pad. I had rigged something
up, very handmade, and another trainer asked if I had
heard of Cashel wedge pads. Took all of a week to find
them! Since then, we have enjoyed their innovative
products in all categories. Western and Australian and
Trail have perhaps now outgrown the English
divisions.
Understanding
how young horses can grow either front or hind end, more
than the other, wedge padding becomes a great horse
training aid during those times of natural bone
development. And, the wedges can help position a
beginning rider too. Flat cushions prevent sore spots of
shoulders and spine. It is easy
to take a Mayatex blanket and sew it, to hold your
favorite Cashel pad in place. Use Velcro at the rear
end, so you can remove and change as needed for cleaning
or adjusting.
And, just
common sense and common needs have given rise to a bevy
of riding and stable accessories. Cultured Cowboy hopes

Engineered
to provide outstanding back
protection and shock absorbency,
your Cashel Cushion is made with a
unique closed cell foam, originally
designed for the aerospace industry.
Your durable English cushion pad
will not collapse, or absorb
moisture nor become a breeding
ground for bacteria. Heat and weight
will not be added while using these
saddle pads. Cashel Cushions conform
to the horse's back, relieving
pressure points. Tapered edges
eliminate uncomfortable ridges. All
the Cashel engineering is made for
closer contact riding with super
protection.
Cashel
is designed to be ridden with the
label side up. Put your saddle
directly on top of the pad. Any
Cashel pad can be used with a cloth,
Navajo, or quilted blanket, or by
itself.
Clean
with water. Store flat. Do not store
under your saddle on a saddle rack.
Flat
Pad: Available in 1/2",
3/4", and 1" thickness. Helps
prevent soreness or in relieving
soreness once it has occurred.
Wedge
Pad: Gradually increases from 1/2
inch at the front to 1 1/4 inch at
the back. Can be used for extra
protection in the sensitive back
area. And especially for proper
leveling of your saddle.
Reverse
Wedge Pad: Gradually decreases from
1 1/4 inch at the front to 1/2 inch
at the back. Ideal for padding a
high withered or narrow shouldered
horse. Again used for leveling
saddles, and for keeping saddles
from sliding forward.
Cool Cushion™ Option
Without
changing the superior cushioning effects of
the classic Cashel® Cushion, the Cool
Cushion™ Option incorporates ventilation of the pad
through
air vents down the body, helping reduce
the heat load, providing "breathability"
