Dakota Arabian Saddles

A versatile saddle for a versatile horse! A real pleasure to your eyes! What is a pleasure saddle, anyway? It is a saddle you expect to feel comfortable when you are in that seat for long hours at a time. The Arabian horse breed is a very impressive animal. Breeding can be Egyptian, or Polish foundation. Either way, the breed has a rib cage that usually comes off the spine in a higher position than other breeds. For this, the "Arab tree" has been developed. 

The material Dakota uses for padding our Cultured Cowboy saddles is a superior grade of high tech material that will not compress nor deteriorate in short time. The standard tree in this saddle is Arabian bars with a low cantle, but you can get a higher cantle if you would like. Also available with a Flex tree. Flex saddles have more give to them. They fit to the horse as the girth is tightened. The flex saddles give more as the horse makes its movements. This can be especially advantageous for young, or aged horses. Flex trees are not going to allow too much weight in the center of the horses' back. Weight is distributed over a large area. Years from now, you will enjoy the same comfort as when this saddle was new. 

This 5319 Arab saddle is built a little stronger than some with 2 1/5 inch stirrup leathers. This one is shown with a distinctive spot basket handtooled print, Montana  standard conchos, and black suede seat. The leather wrapped horn is there, but not so tall as to get in the way. A laced Cheyenne roll with either same color leather (shown) or rawhide roll makes the 5319 Arabian Pleasure saddle easy to handle. Comes with rear dees under the conchos, but you can easily add two more at the front conchos. Or, String it through the tree like the saddle your great grand rode in! We recommend thinking about one of our better fleece options: thicker synthetic, or real sheepskin. Let us know your inseam and we will be sure that the stirrups will fit properly. Plenty of room in the thigh area. Comes standard with nylon girth tie straps for a fit that gets closer to your horse. Leather is available. If you like, we can totally condition and turn stirrups for you so your saddle feels "worn-in" as you take it out of the box. Life doesn't get much better than all this!
