Road Wolf
is the story of a pioneer brand, carving its own
path in order to make fine craftsmanship available
to all who deserve it. Cultured Cowboy is proud to
present Road Wolf.
Using premium
materials from all corners of the world, Road Wolf
Boot Company offers high-quality footwear at a
price point that buyers and sellers alike can
appreciate. Consumers get authentic, finely crafted
shoes at a reasonable price.
Your RoadWolf boot should feel like a comfortable handshake
on the front of your foot. Boots slip on your heels.
They are designed to! They will not rub blisters as
they do, because they are designed with a heel
counter that allows slippage. The slipping pumps air
around your feet for more comfort. The top,
including the instep area, will keep a well made
casual boot
on your foot while you run around town. (I know
Momma told you never to get a shoe that slipped.
That's because in a shoe, the top of the heel must
cup your cuneiform bone. Western boots, with their
special design, and taller top, developed over centuries, are made more
forgiving & more comfy than department store shoes!)
We recommend a
good Thorlo sock to go with your boots. Thorlo socks
are engineered for feet in boots. (Everything from
sweat dissipation to padding in the right places.)
And always use cleaners and conditioners to make
your boot leather last a long time. And remember,
with a buckaroo boot, you want to have your boot
repair shop replace the heel pad as soon as it wears
thin. This keeps the boot from wearing into the heel
block, and thus breaking over at the heel
counter.

Our
best selling Road Wolf women's boot styles are
boot styling that can crossover from a
Motorcycle Boot to Casual Boots, to Western
Boots. Desperado Slouch Top Boots are soft
on the ankles and the oil pull-up leathers
make a boot that is very weather resistant. The sole appears to look like leather,
but is actually a "tire rubber"
compound that holds your traction without
being aggressively "sticky". This
popular style comes with tips on the medium round
toe, and a cowboy underslung walking
heel.

too high. Looks mighty fine with jeans,
khakis, dancing, or riding.

Caring
for your Distressed Leather Boots:
Distressed leather boots are sometimes called
"oil-pull-up" boots. The leather is
compounded with a weather proofing oil like
conditioner. This process allows the scars, scratches
and color highlights to "move and shift as you
wear them. They are supposed to look "Old
West". Just use a leather balm, or a distressed
leather conditioner to continue the look. The boots
will appear darker as you condition, and lighten as
the conditioners "work their way" out or
through the boot leather. In salty or snow conditions,
sometimes a de-salter is needed to remove salt from the
leather. (If you see white lines
after wearing, you need a de-salter.) These products
are designed to recondition this leather. A coat of
Mink Oil or Sno-Seal can waterproof and protect the boot from scuffs,
or be used to cover existing scuffs. If they get really covered in muck, you can
just squirt them off with a water hose before you tote
"all that" into your house. If wet,
allow them to dry at room temperature, then just add
another coat of conditioner. DO NOT over-dry on a
heating vent or stove.
