Western Boots
Some boots are just better for barn wear. This will
be a fabulous western boot for children.

sole is tougher than typical injection molded
plastic soles. The leather will take the rigors of
crawling, running, playing, in the schoolyard, or
the barnyard! Great for the rigors of youth rodeo
& horse sports that are so popular with the
parents!
AND,
the look captures a young kid's heart. Saddle vamp -
just like my parent's cowboy boots! And the foot is an
embossed, distressed looking cowhide leather that can be conditioned & protected
with mink oil, or sno-seal.
The
sole is a direct attach to the welt & midsole.
It can be repaired, or resoled.
For DURABILITY,
with some cushion
comfort, it's hard to beat a good leather child's
cowboy boot. Popular cowboy boots are great for a child's
back-to-school selection. Just apply
some mink oil, or Snow Seal to protect them from the
elements, (and maybe the kids). Stylish square
toe. Pull holes too. Slip
resistant, easy to flex sole. This "rancher
boot"
comes in child & youth sizes.
The
maker does a "bang-up job of adjusting the
shape of the foot in their Smoky Mountain children's
boots, for proper fit at different stages of foot
development. As the feet
mature, so does the framework of your child's cowboy
boots. Western children's boots fit a little larger
than most kid's shoes. Choose a size 1/2 up from
shoe size for a generous fit with plenty of growing
room, or a 1/2 size down from most shoes for a
closer fit.
Ladies
with smaller stature can wear some of the youth
sizes. Larger stature will require a ladies boot for
proper support. Just like a large boy or girl may
need to move to an adult boot.

Second
choice, HANDFIN, we hand rub and hand burnish it with a
couple-few good coatings of our special lanolin
(sheep fat) leather
conditioners, until the leather has a rich luster
characteristic, and it is much better protected from
weather and deterioration. Then, we expertly flex
the shaft and the sole so it breaks in easily like a kidskin
glove when you first put it on. (Especially in the
ball and ankle area.) Finally, we massage it down
with a finish coat of olive balm that finalizes a
look you only get with better handmade oil pullup
boots. The whole process only takes an extra day.
Same boot...two totally different looks and

Your boot leather will darken when all this
environmentally PH moisture balance is added.
