our favorite girths, because it combines the English girth ability
to give to the horse, with the Western ability of more stability.

High Performance Halters: Another
favorite is the BigHorn felt lined, (nose & crown) halter.
What this means to you is that of all the halters we have used for
almost 50 years, these seem to be best for leaving on the horse during
longer periods of time. The nylon doesn't get hard like polypropylene
halters. The felt allows this halter to be more comfy in most
weather conditions. Padded nose & crown dry back fast
without problems. This halter uses rated materials so that it
should hold together for most pulls, but will break, or snap
straighten with excessive effort that would have hurt your horse
anyway. Easily repairable. Comes with a Warranty. Snaps are easily replaced.
Restitching
with a standard leather type or heavy duty sewing machine , or by
hand awl can be done. OR, the halter can be returned to us or to
the maker, (clean), for repairs. 1 year warrantee coverage,
(At our
stables, ours average lasting over 10 years.) Hardware is brass
type with no bad edges. 7624 is 3/4 inch nylon, (not polypropylene),
with adjustable crown & nose with throat snap (which can
be twisted either hook in or out). Available in sizes: XL Horse,
Reg Horse, Arab, yearling, weanling. (suckling & pony
available too) All popular colors available. Only
$19.99 or 3 for $17.99 each. 7139 is
the same model in 1 inch nylon. $20.99 or 3 for $18.49 each.
Available in popular XL (Draft), Reg horse, Arab & Yearling sizes.
Matching leads
have availability to interchange brass snap, halter chain, or bull
snap as you like. Matching colors 1 inch heavy duty brass
snap lead Only $11.99 each or 3 for
$10.49 each. (Brass Chain leads add $2.00 each. Or get an
extra brass chain with the HD snap lead for $6.99 extra.)
All these
accessories are priced at about 25% off the makers already
reasonable prices. Adding these items will not increase the
shipping costs on most deliveries, due to the new dimensional weights
used by UPS. So get them with your saddle and save even
more!

A
moment of true honesty: Are you going from website to
website, dealer to dealer, to get your "best deal"? When
you're planning, researching what you need, are you
wasting your time or finding answers? You've just found what
you've been looking for. - You are building a
dream! You're both cautious and frugal. We are too. Somewhat picky
and always curious. We gratefully assist hundreds
of riders every year. We thank you for your
inquiry.
There
was a time when maybe there was an occasional "deal" to be found.
Someone didn't know what they had and sold it cheap. But today,
the Internet and free enterprise has leveled that to fair pricing all around. And today, most of us can't afford
this day's so-called
"deals". Truth is that most of you looking only at price
will be stung! Most of the "deals" are someone else's
problems that they hope to pass to you now!
One
business person commented that he had no problems
how he made a real luxurious living. He made his
fortunes off of the stinginess of greedy people. I
will say that later in life, he found happiness
through helping. Money is a medium of exchange -
not an end to itself. Be wise!
Better
quality saddles are not "Wal-Mart" items! Somebody can always offer cheaper
made products.
Some sell this same product only as a base item (Minimum accepted
quality) so they can make a very interesting offer & get your
attention. They either are large enough to have the saddle
"slightly" "modified" for them for a larger
margin, (economies of scale and need to cover extra costs of a
large enterprise), or they offer a very small margin because they
offer extremely limited service. (No skin in the game! These tend
to not stay around very long. And the saddle makers will
usually
have you to go through your no-longer-in-business dealer for warrantees.
How ya gonna do that? Do you send it overseas fro repairs?) So
you're stuck again.
Even
name brands offer a variety of qualities so they stay in business.
Have you held a conversation with your dealer? Can you even find a
phone number? Are
they considering your true inseam needs? Are they shipping the
saddle "ready-to-ride", conditioned and with proper
fittings and accessories/necessities, for your riding enjoyment?
Are they answering your questions? Have they even offered to
have you send pics of your horses? Offer saddle tree forms? Advising you based on
riding experience? Know the options and explaining these
benefits for YOU to choose?
Did you know that many saddle makers
will make small "tweaks" for you that make the
difference between Happiness and Calamity with your riding experience? (Dealers
build a relationship
of improving quality products with these makers,
or with tweaks that make you want to trade again
in just a couple years!)
I'm
over 60, been a professional in this industry, (which is shifting
in many ways, by the way) since 1974. Reality is that I have climbed
both sides of the fence and straddled it too. To some competitors, I've been the
"dirty discounter. I've sold the highest end too. Most times
a happy medium of values are reached, depending on the needs of
the buyer. My most
proud bragging rights were not when I made a "deal"
because I was lowest price.
My
bragging rights have been working with small families, beginning
riding students, instructors, and
up-and-coming professionals who had a horse or 30, and a rider, who
had potential to really make it to professionalism! To see my
clients' dreams come true is what makes my heart sing!
Or,
for the retiring rider who understands what each hour is really
worth! Who wants to enjoy their horse sport they love, rather than
the agony, frustration, of "almost". When I can make a
client happy, provide them with years of quality
time, comfort, knowledge - That's the
"deal" I like to do!
"Value Added" does have added value! You sleep good
at night because you're working hard and steady,
every day, to make dreams come true. And we're
never bored!
You
have to decide if YOU want to ride horses for the MAX enjoyment
you can get with the limited hours you have, or if ya just wanna
get by. *** Almost any saddle sold on the web could do
either. You need the right saddle for the right riding
purpose.
If you
want to win; if you need specifics to make your ride better;
whether trails or arenas; If you want a coach to launch you
further, Maybe we should talk. God Bless You!
