Tekno Crepe®
is Justin's superior version of a crepe soled boot.
They improved the work sole design so that it is more durable,
and will compress less easily than the old crepe
soles that Grandad wore.
Men's Western Leather
Tekno Crepe Boots - The
finest cowhides, shoulders, and pullup
leathers are incorporated into boots that
will pass muster. Easy to clean and
comfortable to wear for both horsemanship,
and the "after party". Light
in weight, cushioned surface contact both in and above
the outsole. Popular shorter shaft fits most
calves with ease. Rounded toe allows room to
breathe. Traditional colors and distressed oil
pullup leathers. Tekno
Crepe boots come with a heavy duty heel counter and
spur ridge to support those spurs needed to properly
train cold back horses and rowdy wives. (WARNING:
Ladies Tekno Crepes come with the same features to
contain out-of-control hubbies. So, you both better
buy a pair together to keep playing fields
even!)
Use Lexol, or a
similar product to condition, and a matching color
cream polish to renew color. Top it all with Snow
Seal, or Mink Oil to add water resistance. A moderate rain will not hurt
them. A heavy rain won't hurt them. (In a flood,
take them off and swim for safety!) If wet, allow them to dry at room temperature,
then just add another coat of conditioner. Leather
balm is a good cleaner/conditioner too.
*** These crepe sole
boots were first marketed & worn in the Western
Pleasure horse show market. What we have discovered
is one of the best of footwear for conditions like
neuropathy, heel spurs, and other medical
infirmities. They are comfy on concrete or other
hard surfaces - all day. They have a fan club that
believe them to be the best boots made. They
can be re-soled at most shoe repair shops. They are
a bargain at any price if your feet have been
hurting!
Tekno Crepe® is
now a discontinued boot.
At this time Justin has advised us to use a custom
bootmaker for all Crepe Sole Boots. Vibram makes the
crepe sole used in the Tekno-crepe label, and our
customs. To make the boot work, you must also use
the best of inner boot parts. At this time the costs
of making these boots and the time involved are why
Justin made this decision.
Our custom boot maker comes to us from the former
Ammons Boots Company. He is a private maker. We'll
be happy to arrange your new crepe sole boots.
Approximate price for smooth Ostrich about $599.99,
Full Quill about $900.00, Leathers about
$500.00, depending on the current price of the
ostrich. He does not have the lasts fro the
square toe crepe boots at this time. Only the
rounded roper toe.
