CULTURED COWBOY PRESENTS

Jama Old West Boots

Here is a good basic Wellington boot, (otherwise known in cowboy circles, as a roper boot). It was the first of the flat soled boots popularized in the calf roping arenas. You see, a calf roper throws a loop over his calf, then jumps off a horse that is stopping from a speed of 25 to 35 miles an hour; and then the roper tries not to fall on his face while running down the end of a rope to the calf. Prior to rodeo in the past 20 years, the roper boot has been a dress boot for officers and civilians alike. Definitely a classic that has come from the British Isle to the world.

This leather sole Wellington boot is more representative of those classic boots.

This cowboy boot is a bargain. Get your self a couple colors, or...if you have a whole family to shoe, Cultured Cowboy can help a little more. Pick any 3 or more pair of Jama boots at the same order time, and we will clip another 5% off the total price for you.

One of the nicest things about having a custom leather shop is being able to take a good product and improve it. It's like sharing the love, to you, with the original factory.
This is a great ladies Western boot for the money. And, we can give it to you two ways...First price is like it comes from the factory, and that is a good value.

Second choice, we hand rub and sheepskin burnish it with as many good coatings of our special leather conditioners as is needed, until the leather has a rich luster characteristic, and it is much better protected from weather and deterioration. Then, we expertly flex the shaft and the sole so it wears more like a kidskin glove when you first put it on. (Especially in the ball and ankle area.) An ever so slight sanding is prepped by hand on any inside seam that feels sharp on ankle or leg. Finally, we use gentle heat to massage it down with a finish coat of Snow Seal that finalizes a water and barnyard acid resistant finish you only get with better handmade boots that cost much more. The whole process only takes an extra day and a half. Same boot...two totally different looks and feelings.  You choose!   Ain't America great?
