Have your toes felt crowded in your shoes? Are you walking a lot at work?  Yet you need the protection of a safety rated shoe? Tired of going home and even waking the next day with tired feet?  Hoss Boots affectionately calls this wide toe box their "Bubba" Toe.  It gives ASTM protection in a "wide enough for wide feet" toe box.  Sizes up to men's 17, with widths of EE to 4E to 6E.

What we've found is that the consistency and quality of comfort is not just a "squishy" soft feel in the store. Your toe box must be comfortable to wear. Buster Low allows easy adjustment into and once the shoe is on your feet. A combination of "bounce" or "Re-bound" energy releasing cushion insoles with a real composite shank and heel counter that provides hour of lateral support and arch support will be your best bet!

How are the heel counters made? Sturdy! Why - the heel counter that you cannot see is what will determine whether your foot has a tendency to break over the outside of your heel. Once this happens, you not only lose support under your feet, they start to hurt.

Why are cement & direct attach boots & shoes popular? From the maker, they can be mass produced so value pricing is available to the wearer. For the person wearing them, this construction is less restrictive than heavier duty boots.  These very breathable safety shoes are designed to move with you, like your best athletic footwear.

Is the toe box or entire shoe made of preformed material that sweats your toes, or is it breathable?  Laced work shoes and boots hold you in place with little slipping inside the shoe. So it's important that the materials wick away the sweat so your feet are not "stinky" with bacteria from too much moisture. Hoss understands the design of materials that protect your feet.

  Not only are your feet protected by the ASTM structure inside, this outer toe box protects the shoes against abrasion when you're accidentally kicking a sharp corner of a desk, or pallet, or need to crawl a while.

This rear banding reminds me of the similar banding I made for specialty horse shoes. It would certainly add structure to a hoof that was weak, or worn down far. This Hoss heel banding will certainly add support and structure to your feet too.  (Kinda like a 3 point hitch setup on your tractor.)

This Hoss Boot Company rubber sole provides oil & slip resistance, with a surface that works with the comfort system making walking on cement floors easier on your feet.  (Good tread for dirt too.)

As you examine these pictures, ask yourself about why patterns emerge. Why the side "fingers"?  Could it be to allow that more breathable mesh deeper into the shoe? Could it be because the shoe is made for larger, wider feet and without the fingers, would be stiff to move in with the required support? Could it be somebody thought it looked cool?
