Pull loops match the lace loops. The combination of Cement attached rubber with engineered stitching helps give you lateral support from the heel counters. 

This Moxie Trades sole view shows the pattern that aids in allowing wet to escape from under you. Direction of the sole "lines" can give slip resistance, even when twisting or turning.

Care Products:  Suede Cleaner Conditioner for deep cleaning. Pulls harmful dirt & dust out of the pores of your boot leathers. 
Cultured Cowboy recommends use of a nylon suede brush rather than wire. ( If you work in a nasty environment, there are deep cleaner/conditioners, but they will darken & lay down the knap texture of the suede.) Leather needs moisturizers just like a ladies hands do.)

Water Resistance - A silicone spray to weatherproof does work, but you stop some of the wicking away properties of the footwear when used.  Most spray coatings may darken when first applied, but allow the suede to recover back to the original coloring.  
Want to round out your boot comfort even more? - Try a pair of Thorlo socks with them.  Thorlo makes a variety of great work socks. Everything from ankle or low quarter athletic to over the calf. Extra thickness, almost like a terrycloth towel, in the heel area (Dissipation of concussion). Thickness under the ball of your feet (protection on your take off). And thins down on the top of your arches with a supportive structure so you don't need to change footwear sizes. (Assists your metatarsal bones).
