Rust Tip
When removing rust use FLITZ with #0000 steel wool or white 3M Scotch Brite
pad to act as an abrasive.Diamond Plate/Aluminum Running Boards Tip
Use FLITZ with a carpet swatch containing a nap or buffer to reach all grooves and
crevices. Use solvent on a terry cloth to remove black residue.
Gun Cleaning Tip
For a gun cleaning, put FLITZ onto a clean gun patch or felt pellets. Lightly
work into barrel. Remove dirty patch, buff with clean patch. Use FZ Liquid for
polishing brass gun shells in tumblers.
Gemstone Tip
FLITZ will not harm diamonds or gemstones. Great for solid gold, silver and
platinum. |
Oxidation Tip
Using a paper towel will absorb oxidation faster and will act as a mild abrasive that
helps remove corrosion or heavy tarnish.Water Stains Tip
For stubborn water stains, surface rust and lime deposits, apply FLITZ with a nylon
scouring pad or white 3M Scotch Brite pad to act as an abrasive.
Counter Top Stains Tip
Apply FLITZ directly to stubborn counter top stains. Leave for 1 minute and
then rub it out with a paper towel.
Antiques Tip
To find out if antiques are solid metal, apply a magnet. If it sticks the items is
not solid brass or copper. |
Lacquer Tip
How do you know if your metal is lacquered? If your cloth is still blue from the
FLITZ and the item is still dirty, then it is lacquered. To remove the tarnish
and dirt beneath the lacquered finish, you must first strip off the lacquer coating.
To remove lacquer, use acetone or lacquer stripper.Heat Discoloration
Tip
To remove heat discoloration marks (Chrome Exhaust Pipes, Stacks, reshafted golf clubs),
warm up the surface, apply FLITZ, let penetrate for 3 minutes and rub briskly with
paper towel. For extreme cases, use FLITZ with #0000 steel wool. Repeat
if necessary.
Fiberglass/Painted Surfaces Tip
On large fiberglass and painted surface applicators, FLITZ can be applied using a
low speed buffer (under 1000 r.p.m.)
