Use Lexol to condition, and a matching color cream polish to renew color. A moderate rain will not hurt them. Just miss one or two of all the puddles you see. When manure caked muddy, clean them off the best way you can. I use a good stick to scrape off the sticky red clay, then a soft bristle boot scraper to do its job, then hose 'em down. If wet, allow them to dry at room temperature, then just add another coat of conditioner. Leather balm is a good cleaner/conditioner too. Sole Dressing applied to the leather soles will help protect them from wearing out too fast, and keep the sole edges and heels from looking worn. Mink oil and Snow seal will do wonders to make them easier to clean and stay better looking longer.
